One Painting Per State and Everywhere In-Between

The objective of this project is to create one painting inspired by each state of the U.S.
I will be moving along the country, creating a piece that captures the spirit of the state, as well as beautiful places in-between state trips.
All works will be for sale, with some profit being donated to various conservation programs, wildlife organizations, or other crucial matters pertaining to that state.

Follow along, watch me be an adventurous dingus, and show support in anyway you feel applicable!

Los Angeles, CA

Amidst a sea of fleeting tan faces, RayBan reflections, and high-end denim, I found myself star-struck as soon as I hit the common grounds of LAX. Los Angeles abounds with inspiration. From the potential of running into fame, to the simple satisfaction of superb Acai bowls, the City of Angels provided me with a flood of new ideas for my…

Current Project Plan

Well y’all, it’s nearly October… That means I’m only about 4 months away from kicking off this project. It’s time to be real honest here… I am terrified. I am terrified of falling short, of failing entirely, of dropping out or quitting before I’m finished. I am pushing past all these nerves, all these hesitations, to come forth and say,…

Paint Mines (Calhan, CO)

My most recent adventure was to the Paint Mines in Calhan, CO. The Paint Mines themselves were significantly smaller than expected. However, this does not at all defer from the awe-striking beauty within this location. Upon arriving at the Paint Mines, it’s easy to lose your breath at all the glorious forms, uniqueness, and (in some places) brilliant color. I…

Pike National Forest (Pueblo, CO)

Pike National Forest was a location that was both new to me and seemed quite accessible to explore! Upon arrival, I quickly realized the forest is mostly home to fishermen, long-distance hikers, and avid campers. Both tourist’s and recreational hikers didn’t seem to exist around this location. I set up my easel at the top of a hill overlooking Cheesman…

Red Rocks (Morrison, CO)

My first project while beginning this adventure was in Morrison, CO. The Red Rocks have been a long standing favorite hiking spot of mine since moving to Denver. If you haven’t been, the location offers a plethora of beautiful rolling red rocks and boulders. After setting up my easel and beginning my work, a handful of hikers and tourists came…
